How to Use Studios

Learn how to create and manage Studios in Kimara to organise your AI workflows and collaborate with your team.

A Studio is your primary workspace in Kimara. Everything you do — building workflows, running generation jobs, managing models, and collaborating with teammates — happens inside a Studio. Each Studio is fully isolated, so resources and billing are scoped to that Studio alone.

What Is a Studio?

A Studio is both a workspace boundary and a billing boundary. Inside a Studio you get:

  • Isolated ComfyUI environment — workflows, custom nodes, and model files belong to the Studio and are not visible to other Studios.
  • Team membership — you control exactly who has access. Members join a Studio by invitation; they do not automatically see other Studios you belong to.
  • Usage tracking — compute costs and job history are tracked per Studio, making it straightforward to allocate costs across projects or clients.

You can belong to multiple Studios, for example one per client project or one for personal experimentation and one for team work.

Creating Your First Studio

  1. Open the Kimara dashboard. If you have no Studios yet, you will see a prompt to create one.
  2. Click New Studio.
  3. Enter a name for your Studio. Choose something descriptive — you can have multiple Studios, and a clear name helps teammates understand its purpose at a glance.
  4. Click Create. Kimara provisions the Studio and takes you to its dashboard.

Studio names do not need to be unique across the whole platform, but keep them distinct within your own account so the Studio switcher stays easy to read.

Managing Studio Members

  1. From your Studio dashboard, open Settings in the left navigation.
  2. Select the Members tab.
  3. Click Invite Member.
  4. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite and select their role:
    • Admin — can manage settings, billing, and members.
    • Member — can build and run workflows but cannot change Studio settings.
  5. Click Send Invite. The invitee receives an email with a link to accept.

You can remove a member at any time from the Members tab. Removing a member revokes their access immediately.

Switching Between Studios

If you belong to more than one Studio, use the studio switcher to move between them:

  1. Look for the Studio name displayed in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click it to open the studio switcher dropdown.
  3. Select the Studio you want to switch to.

The page reloads into the selected Studio's dashboard. Your active tab (for example, the ComfyUI editor or the Apps gallery) is preserved when switching so you land in the same area within the new Studio.
